| Re: Vortex Frame Sliders Just got my Vortex frame sliders from kneedraggers.com. Finally some protection! Anyway, I ordered red pucks to match my red bodywork (on the 2003). Bad choice! The red doesn't match at all - not even close. I should have bought black ones! Time to order some black pucks instead. Oh well, live and learn I guess. |

| Re: Vortex Frame Sliders Any chance of painting them? *Epoxy paint for appliances in a spray can should work...pretty tough, won't chip easily(Disclaimer, if you use the frame sliders for intended purpose, the paint won't stay) *Only problem is only comes in high gloss (black). *Might try something like Ace Rust Stop (Ace Hardware) the satin black is a pretty close match for the frame. *Light sanding, spray, dry...could save you the coin for new pucks...

| Might be worth a shot - possibly with sanding the paint would stick, they're pretty slick otherwise.
Thanks, Fumb! |

Hey! 'Nails' only refers to women, not bike-parts. |

| Re: Vortex Frame Sliders So comes another lesson in NOT trying to match colours. What is on paper is not what you get & even if off a bit some will bitch. So go for contrasting colours like Black & White.

pdccd : why not just exchange them?
| Mostly because I've waited MONTHS to get this protection for my bike due to back orders, etc., and I'd rather spend a little extra for different colored pucks than go unprotected any longer. |
