Re: Question about Ohlin Shock

Received my shock in the mail on Friday. Installed it today. Started looking at the manual to set it up and noticed it is the HO152 for the 929 and not the HO202 for the 954. Will I have any problems leaving this shock on the bike? Any major differences?

TIA

Re: Question about Ohlin Shock

Is the one you got a triple clicker? If so, I bet they are identical. Ohlins does this for the 00-01 and 02-03 RC51s. The shock is identical, but they give them different part numbers to track which bikes are getting the shocks.

If the one you got for the 929 is a triple adjuster (high/low speed compression), then I bet you its the same exact shock as the 954 one, just a different number to help track the sales...

Re: Question about Ohlin Shock

From the Ohlins site:

929 length 284mm +4/-2
stroke 57mm

954 length 288mm +2/-4
stroke 57mm

Not sure about mounts. How about a phone call to Dan Kyle.
