HELP High pressure fuel line...

Do I need to buy a new gasket of any sort for when I remove the high pressure line to remove my tank?

I need to change my plugs and filter, and want to make sure I am not left w/any surprises.

Generally speaking, high pressure lines will have crush washers, not gaskets (think brake lines). FWIW, as long as you properly torque down the banjo fittings, you should be fine reusing the 'old' washers.

It's always recommended to replace the crush washers. You may get away with reusing your old ones, but it's always better to replace them.

You should replace them. But I've reused mine at least 10 times and never a leak.

...untill you had me running to the autoparts store at 4:30pm in BFE Michigan looking for metric crush washers But seriously, it is ALWAYS recommended to replace crush washers, when you tighten them down, they form to the sealing surfaces, if the happen to be a bit irregular, they can leak the next time you use them. At a minimum, surface the used on on a flat file untill they are totaly flat. $1.00 in washers is cheaper than a 50 psi fuel sprinkler on your motor.

Dude, I still owe ya for that one!

I'd already had a front brake failure that season. I'm always conservative around brakes, so the washers gotta get replaced.
