| Re: Which Exhaust Is worth the best??>> 954 RR<< akrapovic: best finishing/quality, highly priced though, marginal gains in the mid range, gone after lowsiding
among the three mentioned, after a good seach in dyno charts and some "Sook" advices/dynoed models, micron is the only one which has 3hp gains from 9k and on, yoshi and arrow actually going down a bit!
facts (hps - torque)
bonestock: 131,2 - 69,3
micron: 134,8 - 69,1
yoshimura: 130,5 - 67,6
arrow: 130,6 - 68
placed a prepayment for micron race slip-on this morning (oval titanium Beta system), wait to see results
cheers sporky |

| Re: Which Exhaust Is worth the best??>> 954 RR<< those are just bolt ons I believe. Arata doesn't make a bolt on for the 929/954. When people talk about the Arata and Hindles making the most power they are talking full systems. I believe the Micron serpent system is also very close. |

edit: change Hindle "is" to Hindle "was"... |

| Re: Which Exhaust Is worth the best??>> 954 RR<< I had nothing but problems with my Micron system that I paid $1100 for on the Ducati. The end caps on each muffler were not secure and came shooting off while driving down the road, they also had a funny wear on them because of the brackets Micron gave me to mount them. When I called they told me too bad, you bought them were not going to help you out. I switched to Arrow and the quality is not even comparable, IMO. |

I had a huge arguement with one of their reps at the Detroit mc show and I even emailed them pics of the cans and the issue, no help at all. Worst service for a motorcycle part I've ever had. |

| Re: Which Exhaust Is worth the best??>> 954 RR<< My Carbon-Fiber Akrapovic (which is for sale) gave the 954 a louder and deeper note without being obnoxious. You could get through your neighborhood without raising eyebrows, and then it made a great sound when you opened it up on the back roads. I even really liked it on decel.
I'm not sure about the power gains, but the sound helped make the bike "feel" faster than stock. |

| Re: Which Exhaust Is worth the best??>> 954 RR<< Bolt ons, Micron is the way to go (on the 954) ALTHOUGH Sato are now doing bolt ons for the 954 too, and i'd EXPECT them to give at least the same gains as the Micron and they'll be better quality.
Micron aren't a real good choice for Twins due to their "assembly" choice. The heavy pulsing etc, just blows them apart. We used a Micron full system on our Race SP1, and it gave us the best gains from what we had available at the time, but they don't look real flash now. lol So you're fairly limited with the Ducs as to what you can get, but hey, sucked in, you have more money than sense anyway. LOL KIDDING............sorta.
"I have a micron full system. I got 10hp with a PC3" that's the RACE system, notthe Serpent right? Coz I get 15+h.p from those systems no probs (serpent) . The Arata I've seen 19h.p on the 954 with mapping and they are light , look trick etc, everyone knows already. Hindle give good gains too, dunno how much they've risen in price though, so you may wanna check that out before deciding. If it were me? I'd go Arata, Sato, Micron in that order, but let us know what you decide on and what you think etc. Have fun. |

Dude, you're buying a bolt-on! And you're worried about what it sounds like?!! Then truely that is the least of your long list of problems. |
