| 520-1+2= After a month of looking at my 520 conversion kit (-1/+2) and chain (thanks CalSportbike), I finally got down to business and broke the chain Sunday and finished installing after work this evening. Unfortunately, it was too dark by the time I was done to see what it'll really do but there's always tomorrow.
Tomorrow evening is the speedohealer then the weekend is track day prep for both bikes for Little Talledega on the 10th. |

That's Seamus Norris, right? |

| Re: 520-1+2= Well, have you had it out since doing this? I have mine sitting here waiting for the swingarm bearings before i can put it back together.
Notice much of a difference? did you have stock gearing before?
I was already -1 on the front(530 mind you) before I did this so I am hoping for a bit of a difference come spring. |

| Re: 520-1+2= On my 929 there was a major difference everywhere, from pulling to feel, definately lost top end and mileage went south as well. But that is on mine. |

| Re: 520-1+2= Managed to get out on the 3rd (after dark again) to measure the error in the speedo for the speedohealer install. I didn't do any WOT acceleration but half throttle acceleration felt like it was accelerating harder than WOT with the stock gears.
It was snowing all weekend so I spent the rest of the weekend getting both bikes ready for this Friday. I haven't been out during daylight so I couldn't really get on it like I wanted. Looks like the first real test will be Friday morning around 0815. |
