Re: D&D Exhaust - Carbon Fiber. Anyone Have One?

I'm wondering if anyone has a D&D exhaust for their 954. Currently I'm happy with the power my bike is putting out, but I want it to sound as mean as it is. I had a D&D on my F4 when I bought it, and nothing sounded quite like it (albeit obnoxiously loud). If someone has some feedback, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

If you want loud, just run it with no can at all. Take your stock can off and have at it.

Re: D&D Exhaust - Carbon Fiber. Anyone Have One?

I don't want it to be ridiculously loud per say, but I haven't heard any other cans that have the same 'growl' as a D&D pipe. The other pipes I'v heard have this raspy stock sound (can't think of a better way to describe it). If you have a good suggestion as far as the same sound but quieter, fire away. I'm completely open to other suggestions, because to be honest, I don't enjoy waking up the neighbours whenever I come home later, but I'm a sucker for sound.

Well you don't want a D&D then. Do a search for 'slip-on' and you'll find all kinds of useful information. It is one of the most repeated and talked about modifications.

I used to defend loud bikes, but have come to believe that they're bad for the sport and hard on your ears.

Put some foam ear plugs in and enjoy the stealth factor of the factory Ti can.

Stay away from D&D unless you want to get rid of your riding buddies. Had one, TOO DAMN LOUD. BTW, your not going to get a noticable, if any, power increase with a slip-on. Good looks and good sound is all you are gonna get. I have a R/B 954 with a 2bros CF can, love the sound and looks.

While you're at it, why don't you get a 1200 custom with drag pipes.

haha. although the 1200 custon sounds tempting...I think I'll pass. Jeez, I ask a simple question and get flamed for it! ha. Anyway, thanks for the input. If anyone has some sound clips of our beautiful machines with various pipes on, send 'em my way or let me know where I can get them from. Thanks.

I have a Devil and am really happy with the sound. Deep and raspy but still quiet at low RPM's.

If you want a loud bike get a D&D. It still won't be as loud as all these dumbfu(ks on their POS Harleys that live in my neighborhood.
