Re: 929 vs 954 wheels

Does anyone know if I can swap 929 and 954 wheels? *I have a new 954 to replace my 929, but I would like to swap the wheels before I sell the old bike. *The guy who owned the 954 pin-striped the wheels and I'm not diggin' it.

Thanks brohams.

Interchangable, although the 954 wheels weigh slightly less.

Yup... I have a 929 rear wheel on my 954 right now. The only difference is the cut outs in the wheel where the disc mounts (rear), and some holes in the spokes. The only reason I can see for Honda doing this was weight, they bolt right up.

Re: 929 vs 954 wheels

They swap out....

You'll also notice the rear rotor mount is different....less on the 954 wheel.

I could use a spare set 954 wheels....Anyone?

Here's a set that are on Ebay. They look complete too.

Re: 929 vs 954 wheels

I sold a pair of RC51 wheels complete with a set of Pilot Race in excellent condition (all spacers, rotors etc.) for 480.00 plus shipping. I think his 'Buy it Now' price is wishful thinking (or perhaps the gentleman that paid 138.00 for a set of takeoff slicks may be interested at that price).
