954RR Aftermarket Build. Going to need much input

So, now that I have decided not to sell the RR, I'm going a different route and am going to be slowly but surely building the bike into a real street terror. What I'll most likely do is keep everything contained to this one thread, and as I need everybody's input, I'll ask, and keep everything updated.

The first few things I'm going to be buying right off the bat. So until I go to order more parts, I'll just stick with a couple items at a time so as to try and keep it easy. So, first things first...front suspension, brakes, tire, etc.

I have a leak in my right front fork. Blew a seal, and its going to need replaced as well as new fluid added.

First on the list, a new PP up front. Whats there now is the stocker and its got 4500ish miles on it. So we can already cross the tire off the list. The PP is still the "no-brainer" for high-performance street tires, right? I haven't checked what new tires are out at the moment for a while. If not, let me know what is as I'm going to be ordering the first batch of parts soon.

Let's start the conversation with the braking system up front. I'm going to be replacing the front brake pads and most likely the stock rotors as well as all the lines with stainless units. Lets start with some talk on the rotors. Seems to be a good range of choices: EBC, Galfer, BrakeTech. Basically what I'm looking for here is everyone's personal experiences and what those with said experience would recommend. I know a lot of guys here are very knowledgeable on a lot of aftermarket parts and that is what I'm looking for here, opinions.

I'm a big fan of the Galfer rotors. Basically, they are doing the same thing as every other rotor combo; lighter, stronger, look better. But I like the fact that I can buy a complete combination all from the same company. I've always liked buying from one manufacturer instead of piecing parts from different makers together. Better chance of everything working better together. With Galfer, I can buy a complete set of rotors from them, along with their brake pads and stainless line system, PLUS Galfer fluid. Maybe its possible to do this with other companies, but thats why I come for some extra input.

At the moment, this seems like the direction I want to go, but obviously I'm here to see what you guys think. So, thoughts on a complete Galfer setup up front? That'd be these parts:

Galfer Wave Rotors - Honda CBR954 - Galfer Motorcycle Brake Pads and Braking Components - KneeDraggers.com
Galfer Superbike Brake Kit - Honda CBR954 - Front w/ HH Pads - Galfer Motorcycle Brake Pads and Braking Components - KneeDraggers.com
Galfer Super DOT 4 Brake Fluid - Galfer Fluids and Lubricants - KneeDraggers.com

And the braking system is where this parts list will all start. So, thoughts?

Just because it's from the same company, doesn't mean you get the best of everything. And all items will fit together just fine, no matter who the manufacturer is.

For rotors I'd go with Vesrah, unless you're obsessed with the wavy look. However your stockers should work just fine. I would consider a Brembo master. For brake pads, Vesrah RJL's. For brake lines I'd go with Spiegler, Goodridge and/or Galfer in that order. For brake fluid I would only use Motul RBF 600 DOT 4. JMO

Most of this is overkill for street use. But if you're after the best stopping power, the above would be my taste.

No huge developments in street tires, either PP's or Pirelli Diablo Corsa's.

Finally I get some real answers. Other forums I've posted this buildup on the threads go off-topic almost immediately. Well I definitely want to check out Vesrah now. You have any recommended sites for Vesrah parts? No, not obsessed with the wavy look.

You'll be stripping your forks down then, so replace the springs with Ohlins ones.

Cheers

Or race tech, just make sure you get one step heavier then race tech recommends.

Well, I usually got my pads trackside but you can order them from the same guy at mdracinstp.com

Also Brian Baker is friends with Mark Junge (do a search for "baker race gear", if you don't find anything let me know and I'll get the #), Mark runs a Vesrah-Suzuki race team and they're always unloading parts. Might be able to find yourself a nice deal on some new Vesrah rotors.

Otherwise any of your regular outlets should carry them, kneedraggers, hardracing etc.
