| Re: F1 and red light Since u didnt state what bike u have, LoL. This is the information from the 02-03 954rr shop manual......
- Short circuit in service check connector
- Faulty ECM
- Short circuit in service check wi
Also, u can try checking these. The manual indicates that there is NO BLINKS from the FI light on these, but it does NOT state if the FI light stays on......
- Open or short circuit in malfunction indicator wire.
- Faulty ECM |

| Re: F1 and red light You state that it stays on when your riding. It will not flash when your riding. try letting it sit running in neutral and see if it flashes then. If it does flash count the long and short flashes to get your error code,example- 3 long flashes, 5 short flashes = code 35 |

| Re: F1 and red light The servo will not turn when the bike is started, it only moves at around 3M RPM and then again at around 7M RPM. Could be that the cables are bound up. There is two cables that go to the EGCV and one that goes to the air intake, there could also be some thing stuck in the EGCV that is not allowing the servo to turn, or the servo it self could be bad. I would check the EGCV first, on the left side of your blades EGCV there is a little chrome colored cover. Remove this cover and and look for some thing that may be stuck in there such as a pebble. Place a wrench on the nut and see if you can open and close the valve DON'T force it it should turn fairly easy. If nothing is there but it still won't turn then cables may be bound up. you'll need to remove the cables from the servo to see if they are binding. after you unhook the cables if the EGCV opens and closes then your servo could be bad. If I remember correct if you turn EGCV all the counter clockwise this is full open (i think). |

That also makes sense as to why the red & F1 light does not appear until you hit 3000 rpm
Thanks |

| Re: F1 and red light Yeah i just changed my Air Intake Servo Motor about a week ago. Bike kept giving me 3 long and 5 short blinks, then it stayed on while riding. Servo Motor was the problem and now it works great. Its a little tricky getting the cables back on right, but i'm sure u can do it. Look on ebay for one, can usually buy it for about 30 bucks....=-) |
