2006 CBR1000RR - New Exhaust?

Hello All,

I am looking for an aftermarket (a.k.a. Louder) exhaust for my 06' 1KRR. The only thing is, I LOVE the look of the stock one. All the aftermarket (yoshi's etc) look ugly and out of place. I like the neat and tidy look of the standard. Any compromise?

I've seen come people get the chrome yosh rather than the more common carbon fiber and then just take the yosh badges off. They are usually just rivited on and can be easily drilled out. I like that look a lot.

Re: 2006 CBR1000RR - New Exhaust?

Thank Jeff,

The badges are not what worry me. If you look at the bike from the rear it had two neat and tidy exhaust exits. I want to keep those if possible or something very near similar. As the exhaust can is undertail and cant be seen I dont really mind what that looks like.

Thanks for the input!

- Miles

Thanks for all your inputs!

I have gone with the Yoshi RS-5 for my 06 CBR1000RR. I have just ordered it and will let you guys know what it is like when I get it on the bike.

Thanks again.

I'm new at bikes but if you want it louder can you just take the baffles out?

That Akrapovic does look sweet though!

well, i guess you probably could, but i think you would have to put more effort into it that it's really worth..

at the end of they day, it's still gonna be a stocky, and i'd guess you'd have to spend a serious amount of time on it..

you could pick up a second hand slip on (can, and pipe to mid-section) for about $400 odd in aus.. and it'll sound real sweet..

you'd probably get a bit more performance out of the slip-on, but not to say that gutting a stocky is impossible..

unless you just stab the stocky with a screwdriver here n there..
