Missing parts

Just bought a 00 929 model and there are a few things wrong well missing from it..lol
I have looked at some micofe diagrams and found some parts i think i need, but it doesn't really explain a great deal or what i really need. Wondering if you guys could take some pictures so i can actually see what i need.

The instrument cluster sits on a bracket, and on the cluster there is a bolt hole up the top. I have nothing that would connect to it
I need someone to take a picture of the brace that you bolt it to, please.

Where the rear tail light bolts on to the rear fender, this bit is broken and the person before has siliconed the gap up (about 1 1/2 inches). I think there is a bracket missing off the top of the light that seems to brace the rear light and fairing together.

Also just to the left of the clutch lever there is a broken bit off the plastic and just some frayed wires. tryed trying to find out what it is but no one knows. Can anyone take a picture of the bar so i can find out what is missing lol

Re: Missing parts

The clutch wire goes to the starter disconnect (keeps you from starting the bike in gear without the clutch in). Good luck with the other bits........

Re: Missing parts

On the clutch perch there should be one or two wire terminals that those wires plug into. Andrew1400 is correct. I'm not sure on the 929 if the clutch switch is built into the clutch perch or if it just screws onto it.

I don't know about the other parts you pictured.

Re: Missing parts

Sounds like the gauge cluster is broken but the pictures do nothing for me. If th gauges have a plastic tap on top in between the digital part anthe tack it nounts to the upper fairing stay. You will need a new clutch perch according to the pictures or run as is but no safety of clutch being in to sart in gear so be carefull. The rear tail light has a bracket that attaches the light to the tail section plastic. It also looks like the brackey on the end of the subbframe is missing, looks like there is one on the left in your pistue. The tail light mounts to the plastic tail section with two screws in the side and the bracket on top. I don't know how yours is just on the subframe but it sould be mounted to the plastic. Ronayers.com is good for the fishe. Hope I did good at explaining.

Re: Missing parts

Thanks for your input guys.

So basically that bit on the clutch is just so the bike canot start in gear?

As for the other bits i pretty much have them nailed now. I need a upper stay bracket. New upper (front) cowl, and i think i will just mainly need a new rear fender to fix the silicon up, plus the bracket that holds the tail light to the frame. Other then that i think i am pretty right.

Just waiting for a service manuel to find out alittle more about the bike.

Thanks for your inputs =o)
