digital clocks

Would the digital clocks from a 929 fit a 1997 bike somehow or is it just the ones from a CBR 600?

Re: digital clocks

I am sure if you tried hard enough or searched swapping gauge clusters that you could find something about it.

Re: digital clocks

Yes, probably, but you may need a speedo-healer to get the right reading, and temp sensor for the water temp to match the electronic gauges. there are threads on here about htis if you have a search through.

Re: digital clocks

Yes, you will need a custom SpeedoHealer (not the standard one), plus the temperature sender from the 98-99 900RR.

As to the 929 cluster working on the bike, it's anybody's guess. The reason why I say that is because I believe that the 929 gauges 'talk' to the ECU (but I could be wrong). On a 97, you don't have the 929 ECU.

With that being said, it won't cost you a fortune to be a guinea pig - and if it works, you'll be extremely happy with the results. I'd like to get the 1000RR gauges working on my bike, but I am not sure if I'll encounter the same problem with the gauges/ecu as what may happen with the 929.

Re: digital clocks

I'd like to have the EFI, ECU, Harness and Gauges all from a 1000RR... That would be a nice set up if we could get it to work properly.
