| Start a "How-To" section anyone? Hey Guys,
A LOT of other forums for bikes, vehicles and other hobbies etc... have HOW-TO sections. There is some intermittent advice here and there when people ask a question, but I think it would be great if we created some HOW-To's for all the projects that we do. We could make an image chack account to host pics just for fireblades. Move some of the Posts that have explanations in them with some pics and we'd have a pretty bad arse forum. |

I'm talking about write-ups with great details and pics. ummmmm, yah... search harder... never thought of that. searching harder won't help when there isn't an abundance of info or consolidated info. |

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? Thanks for the bashing or tainting of my post.... Are we starting a burn war?....lol. I don't care to use smilies etc.... so I'm probly not going to achieve "coolness" in your cronie's eyes. I was just looking for some people that are interested in doing some more how-to's. Not for someone to waste space on my post. I'll put up a how-to on a couple things, but I never claimed that I knew everything (thus my need for how-to's). Why don't you spend more time on making that kind of input instead of trying to impress kids half your age with sarcasm?
Mods, you can delete this thread if you like, it's gotten way off topic. |

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? well its not WAY off topic yet. And we have all helped people here with what they need to do in order to get their bike up and running. How To's would love to do some writeups on the items that I have taken care of... just don't have that much devotion so I share my knowledge when the problem arises for someone else |

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? You saved it!... lol. I'm not disputing that you guys don't help people, hell I don't even have a how-to that i am looking for right now.
I did the same thing on my repairs. On all the work I did on it, I forgot to take some pics etc... But I've got some tune-up work coming so I'll do those. I can't think of anything that I need to do right now.. I was just looking to read up on what people do to their blades.
ps- how the hell have you made 3k posts in 5 months?... lol. That's amazing. |

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? I try to take pics too. I was changing my chain/sprockets and remembered my camera after I was coverd in grease and chain lube. I still managed to get enough off my hands to get the camera and snap a few pics. |

There is lots of "How-To" information that has accumulated on this site over the past six years...just have to find the appropriate thread.

(I pray that you don't reference you unit... lol) Anyway, you say things like the teenagers that I coach or their parents that still haven't gotten past the good old high school days. Maybe that's just how I read it though.
really there's how-to information here??? i never knew that... i must have joined the org to chat with people only and then how-to's came as an afterthought. so I don't get what you are posting here for. Did you see me ask a question about how to do something up there? Nope. All I suggested is that we consolidate and make an expanded how-to section. I never suggested that we ignore all of your great input over the years. It might help with people that join and don't bother to "search harder" from putting repeat posts. There's probly a lot of stuff that people do to their blades that I wouldn't think of, so how would I "search harder" for something that I don't know exists?
that's just my (i can use them too, ain't it neat?) |

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? I don't know where you're trying to go with this but, whatever. The majority of people come here searching for information provided my many members over the years. If you want a How-To section than write one, since it was your brilliant idea. (I can use them, too)

| Re: Start a "How-To" section anyone? Wow.... you really never did get past high school. Glad we could have a mature conversation with a little verbal sparring. I'd correct your grammar and spelling in your last post, but that might offend you more. Good luck in all your endeavors. I hope you know what that means and that it's not an insult. |

Jeff, where's your internet fighting sign?

You're right about the answers being available along with Red Rider. This is where I repeat my mantra about how they should all be together, playing in "how-to" land.
