| Re: 2008 Fireblade Due to a certain attraction to the "stealthy" nature of the stock exhaust system, I won't be replacing mine for at least a year or so. Loud pipes don't save lives. They damage eardrums & draw undue attention from LEO & concerned citizens with cell phones. I wish someone would produce a performance enhancing exhaust that was quieter than stock. | Re: 2008 Fireblade The Taylormade looks great-what I can see of it in the single picture on the website: are there any other decent photos of this exhaust system? Also, can't seem to find ordering info for this system on the site either...any suggestions? |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade Hey y'all, I picked my brand new 08 blade up this morning! I am over the moon, straight out of the showroom it felt amazing. I am made up!
But guess what ? It's pissing down outside now and I had a great ride planned this evening! I'm still going of course but it's not quite the same eh!
I love the blade! :-) |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade Congratulations on the new bike
Expect a proper soaking, as the first time I rode mine in the wet I noticed I was wetter than normal This is due to the lack of rear end, especially with the R&G fitted. The Rooster tails are worth it though

| Re: 2008 Fireblade Thanks Hoody. And yes, I'm used to a good soaking, I took the rear end off my Buell (previous bike) and every time I rode in the wet my back got drenched.... I'm SOOOO hoping the rain holds off for rest of the evening now, fingers crossed... |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade Riding the Fireblade in the wet can be a little scary, I must admit. The first time I tried using the slipper clutch in the wet, was the last time. This was mainly due to the rear locking up and sliding in a snake fashion which would have looked fantastic, but know body was watching and I was wondering if I was up to the job or about to hit the deck What a buzz after though
Besides that it is a pussy cat in the rain, the only problem is the rider I had an off last year in the rain, no reason, could have been diesel, aqua plain, white line, don't know but this was in France on the way home from the Pyrenees. Rear end spun up, high sided me after left and right trying to save it. So I am a little nervous in the rain, but you have to get experience in the rain to become confident like I was before the accident

| ah yes, the eternal up and down the confidence ladder of riding a bike!
after riding a harley night rod special (non ABS version) for a year (this was least year in london when it practically rained every day), the blade seems like a range rover! |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade I have to admit, the Blade in the rain made me feel more confident than the Buell in the rain... but luckily it held out on Friday night and I have a fantastic ride around the country lanes... awesome!!! |

I couldn't justify it if I hated the stock exhaust, which I still don't.
Post some pictures when it arrives. |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade yeah mate, i know the dyno chart looks strange.
I just wonder a lot about the RWHP, cause if you look at the different dyno charts of Akra and Yoshi and some others you see significant differences in the horse power from chart to chart, between 141.3 and 170.6
I guess it has all to do with the PCIII, therefore I ordered the PC as well as the full system Yoshi map.
Full System without the PCIII is totally useless. Then im gonna go for dyno and present the chart. guess it will show a different picture.
The slip on is worthless and ugly compared to the stock can, cause nobody supplies a proper heatshield, just coming with the full system.
If I would just not hate the sound of the stock exhaust soooooooo mucho... |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade You are probably right mate, and don't forget so many dynos read differently too.
Look forward to seeing your bike with it on and a report.
Personally, I quite like the Micron.
I see a guy on my jogging route riding home on a GSXR600 with one. Sounds nice. |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade yeah mate, they have received my transfer already and I get it airshipped.
Only drawback is that Yoshimura is late in delivery... so needa wait 2 weeks, I believe. But will post the pics immediately and the dyno as well once my friends have installed it in their new tuning shop.
What u think about the long arata exhaust: Arata Exhausts
