| Re: 2008 Fireblade No No No!!!!! This can't be the new CBR 1000RR! How did they look at this bike and say "YEAH this is sweet" build it. I do believe it will kick some but performace wise but to me the looks are all wrong ( but I do like the exhaust). I was waiting for Honda to show it's hand before I bought a new 1000. I just don't understand it, all this waiting for this. I guess I'll have to see it in person at the bike show in NY. I love my Hondas, but if it looks as bad as it does on the web, Honda just lost a customer. The bike has to look as cool as it performs. I may have to go with a R1 in black. |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade whats up. This is my first post. I own a 954 right now but am looking for a change. I up in the air about holding out for the new 1000RR {but I want to see more pics}. Or an 06 RC51. Ive never had a chance to ride a v twin sport bike either and I dont want to spend 10g to find out I dont like it. Any input would be welcome. |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade I do not believe any of us have seen the final bike. Now if the MCN pics are correct, then Honda is has lost there frikkin mind. Why wouldn't they just build a 1000rr that mimicked the "07 world beating" 600rr?? |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade from what ive seen I agree. but the only pics Ive seen is the side view and the shot from the track which only shows the bottom. From what Ive heard from my contacts at the dealers is that it had better be the top dog this year preformance wise cause it has nothing else. |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade It's way too early to be making calls on the new model, those photos don't tell the whole story I am sure. What is important is how it looks from behind, that is the part you want to be showing your mates on their gixers and r1's. Right? |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade Hmm, no Repsol for '08? Guess they don't feel like celebrating...
I liked the scheme Honda used on the '06; Blue and Yellow. I thought it was pretty radical for Honda. It would be nice if they offered at least one paint scheme that is "bold".
I would think they would release an 600RR special edition celebrating Formula Extreme champ, Josh Hayes...? |

| Re: 2008 Fireblade I recently spoke to a dealer that was at the show. He confirmed the color schemes and made mention of a limited edition paint scheme/model also but didn't have any specific details. Perhaps it could be the Repsol paint scheme? Has anyone heard similar information from their dealers about a limited edition model? Currently owning the blue/yellow paint scheme I would also like to see something similar offered for the 2008 model. |

I'll never be Nicky Hayden or Valentino Rossi, so, I'll take the extra weight of my undertail exaust and avoid having what looks like a colostomy bag under my foot.

I am pretty sure he means that, like a car, he says they will have available optiions for it for an extra price, my guess (if this is true) that they might have thing like upgraded suspension or lighter wheels and stuff like that, and in my little dream world I plan on pretending that they will offer a V4 option |

Make the exhaust so ugly that no one will leave without the $1.5K upgrade.

| Re: 2008 Fireblade There have always been HRC kit parts available for both the 600 and 1000.
They just aren't very commonplace because they are outrageously expensive, and most engine builders can make as much or more power with other standard parts rather than the HRC "power up" parts.
The HRC parts like the radiators and such are very nice though. |

| I've been drooling over the HRC radiator for the F4i. I don't need it in any way at all. It just looks great. Would complicate changing the oil though. I used to have a website that had all the HRC parts for every bike (including '07 1KRR, I can't find it anymore.)

| Re: 2008 Fireblade You can buy HRC parts for an '07 today from an HRC dealer. Maybe they are moving them to standard dealers as well, but unless they bring the prices down in big chunks and make the parts more readily available they won't sell hardly any of them.
They have done alright with the TRX450R HRC kit (although there are FAR better aftermarket pieces), so maybe they'll follow that model.
Rising Sun Cycles is the best bet for HRC parts. They have some of the 600 parts listed on their site, but can get any of them if you give them a call.

Here is a terrible price list, but you get the idea of general prices. http://www.rscycles.com/images/price...nda_prices.xls
