| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos I think it will be a huge hit as long as the power and handling is up to par with the competitions. It's good to see a manufacturer step out and try something different.
I will let you know how it looks tommorow when I go and see it in person |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos It might pull market share.. IMHO.. The 06/07 RR was considered the best bike for the street anyways and was very successful as was the 04/05... I think it will increase some, but not too much.. There hasn't been too many ordered at my Uncles dealer ship, 12 to be exact.. They are in the top 100 Honda Powersports dealer.. He is kind of suprised, there was more orders for the 04 1000 according to him.. .Org do a poll of who likes the new RR.. |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos Just for the record I hope the RR dominates the market share... Its good for Honda.. Like I said before Im going to go ahead and get the new RR, see if its worth keeping.. I hope it is, then I can sell my 954.. I just like the looks of my 07 and after some mods it performs up to par with any 1000 out there... I just want to see what the overall opinion of fellow RR's and bikers alike...
Thanks for the poll .Org.. |

The poll results so far show people are starting to like it but that is a long way from lust. |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos this bike is like admitting you have a ugly baby, its hard to call one of your own ugly! now to me these bikes keep getting uglier and uglier! I wish I could just drop the newer power plants into the older bikes I.E. the 929/954's and this 08's front is super ugly, it reminds me of the FZ1 front. |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos the black looks OK from the side, headlamp looks close to the 07 R1 on paper at least. exhaust : the worst out of the bunch.
i still can accept the looks, but i still cant accept the specs; no slipper clutch or any other engine innovations still make it feel boring.
the gixxer K7 has 3-map switch + slipper clutch, the R1 has variable stacks, buying a 08 1000RR without these features means it still costs a few grand more than its competitors when the owner decides to install these features. |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos to stop or help prevent idiots from buying these bikes with all this power and not having the skills to use it! just bump the power down until you get use to how it rides and then you can gradually work your way up without keep buying newer more powerful bikes.
its like buying a busa for your first bike, its a bad idea to have all that power and not the tools to manage it! |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos Other than the tail garbage which they put there you to remove I like it. then consider that I get more compliments on my 84 Goldwing then either the VFR or CBR and you really beging to wonder. Beauty is only skin deep and really there's only two questions to be answered. does the bike fit you and does it perform?????????????????????????????? Oh! Make that three questions, is your but cooler that it was with undertail exhaust???? Yee-HaaaH! |

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos sinfully ugly. throw some track plastics on and an aftermarket exhaust and it'll look a ton better but still be ugly.

| Re: More 2008 CBR 1000 Photos The thing that bothers me the most is the made it have a shorter stroke than before and made the bore larger to keep the displacement, all in the name of building a newer designed engine. The exaust makes it lose all charteristic of a Honda. |
