Re: SC28 turbo
nice project.
I like people who do their own work on their bikes.
That bike will raise hell when finished. Its a big turbo though.
I guess it will lag a lot and then rocket the power at higher revs...
Sweet looking bike and nice colour.
keep us posted.

Re: SC28 turbo
T25 is on the small size for cars but considering you are working with less then 1000cc I think it is going to be too big. May want to look into a smaller turbine side. Your saving grace may be the RPM. Your bike turned over twice the RPM of the cars that turbo is used on and you do not really expect to make power on a bike below 6 grand anyway so you could be OK. If not just use a nice N2O shot to help get it spooled! lol

Re: SC28 turbo
The project has been at halt for christmas and new years eve but I'm still waiting for the pistons to rebuild the engine. Now I'm working on the exhaust manifold and turbo.

I have to turn the compressor side and remake that bracket for wastegates actuator.
I will post some pictures and meansurements when I start building plenum.

Re: SC28 turbo
Why do you want to get pistons, If you can buy a .07inch head gasket ( from mc-xpress or a custom cometic). It will decompress enough, for a t25.
The money off the expensive pistons, and with a little extra cash you can use that for the very expensive carrillo conrods. So every thing will be save, or do both
What fuel pump are you using, or going to use.? I have a Finish sit for you. proboost.fi maybe you already know this site...
I will be watching this project site.

Re: SC28 turbo
I think the forged pistons are more durable for turbo use and of course more cubes with 2mm bigger bore. I already have thicker gasget (cometic) mut now I can use thinner. Maybe next winters project is to change rods and add more boost if I get this one working well.
I'm using MSD fuel pump (The bracket needs some finishing and paint)

and Malpassi fuel regulator

Re: SC28 turbo
Oh 2mm overbore thats nice,
If got the same malpassi fuel regulator, Im using a IHI Rhb5 vi74 turbo comes off a Isuzu 2.8 Diesel trooper. Dyna2000 ignition, but i need to collect some more items, like the intercooler, header and plenum, headgasket, goodrige feed and drainlines, oil one way valve, fuel pump, and mocal remote oil filter. So it will take a wile when ready.
Do you know how much liters the fuel pump pumps more or less than 150liters? under > 1bar pressure...

Re: SC28 turbo
After you get that blade worked up, get those brakes up to the task.

Re: SC28 turbo
The turbo looks awfully close to the tyre.
How close does it get when the forks compress?
Looks good. Have you fired it up yet?
