Can't afford one at the moment, but if I could, I still think I would buy a Yoshi. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust I just installed a Yoshimura R77 full system with carbon fiber can on mine. In conjunction with the PCIII & Dynojet ignition module (I had to buy my bike in the US) it's shaping up to be a real nice ride. No complaints about the Yosh whatsoever. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust Hey everyone,
First post on here. Joined up after reading some of the other forums on here. Most of you sound like a laugh and know what your talking about.
So hopefully you can help me in the exhaust dept. as I'm rather lacking at the moment.
BTW - I have an 09 HRC. What a bike and what a weapon but sadly lacking in the noise department.
I've looked at the various 'stubbies' and have to admit not being a huge fan. I like a bit more substance to my pipes. You may ask 'why buy the Blade then'. Simple answer, Honda loyalty, I've never not owned a Honda.
I've looked at the Arata exhaust and that's too big (**quit being fussy**) but that appears to be one of the only options.
Moriwaki do a good looking race pipe but I'm not a fan of the road legal version and I fear the race pipe is too loud and probably too expensive (I also can't find a UK dealer). Any thoughts?

I've also spotted a long pipe by Arrow on Carlos Checa's Ten Kate Blade at the Assen WSB round. Anyone know anything about this as I can't find anything myself.
Lastly, Racefit have said that would custom make me a Growler. Great looking pipe but it's a bit of an unknown quantity. I think they said they have only made one for the 08 Blade before.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers |

IRC = DynoJet Ignition Retard Controller returns the timing and thus the power above 10,000 rpms that was removed in order to meet sound emissions in the U.S.A.. In essence it helps make U.S. market bikes have the same power output as U.K./Euro bikes. |

Do I really need a PC3? I mean, the bike feels great as it is now. The power is delivered in a very linear way. Much better than it was with stock pipe. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust even on a totally stock bike, the PC3 will make a noticeable difference.
I can't explain it in technical terms, but I can tell you it was a night & day difference in how my bike performed after doing these mods. |

Much better than it was with stock pipe. | I'm not expert in this but it can be like as decsribed specialist mapped my 08+full Yoshi+PC: when only full Yoshi is on engine efficiency increases only in few revs ranges but ECU don't know about changes made and fuel/air ratio (AFR) can be made in wrong direction. In standard AFR is 14,7:1 (due to eco and economy norms) but 12,8-13,2 AFR can give max power.
You can download maps on Welcome to Power Commander Motorcycle Fuel Injection Tuning Module but more precise map of course is made on stand because no similar engines, no similar exhausts etc. (fuel pressure, mechanical parts etc.).
As I already mentioned I have on my 08 full Yushi+PC and map customized on stand. Really happy with result.
Sorry for my English, hope it helped to understood PC issue better. |

Thanks for you explanation. I only installed a slip on and I'm quite happy with the bike right now. I don't think I will spend the money. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust Does anyone know how loud the leo vince's are? I like the one splatty posted a few replies up but not been able to find out anything about it's noise. It'll have to be a comprimise of what i put on in the end as I only want a deeper tone at the bottom end but a good looking pipe. I've seen the G&G gp style which is the best looking thing i've seen, but 105 db with the baffles in is silly loud, The cops will be pulling me over every 5 minutes, which i'd rather avoid.
It's a shame akrapovic only make pipes that have a rectangular looking canister, as their r6 gp style pipe looks awesome |

Carbon fiber and Titanium...
THIS THING IS LIGHT AS AIR!
Now I am just waiting for my Z-Bomb to show up and then i'll consider the FI unit as well.
