Hi

I like the look of the 'Hotbodies Racing MGP Growler' exhaust; can anyone suggest how to extend the belly pan so it does not look silly? Also is there a DB killer available in case I want to use it on a track?

Here is mock up of my fireblade with the Leo Vince Oval Evo III Carbon slipon with the added carbon pipe cover - there was no photos on the net, so wanted to see what it looked like, before I put the money down

I think pretty cool! - Just wanting for UPS to deliver - hopefully Monday!!!

*** UPDATE 15:02 GMT+2 ***

The exhaust has arrived! Photos tomorrow I hope!

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Hi,
First time on this site and I’m looking for a can or system for my 08 Blade.
Splatty, like the full Yoshi but just how much louder than standard is it? Also, love the tasteful mods to you bike. Are the rearsets the Gilles VCR? How do you like them?

Cheers

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Very nice Trickster. I like both of the Leo cans, your version and GPpro, also the full Yoshi system (R-77) does seem to be very good value. The good thing about Leo and Yoshi is the heatshield option, which means you have the choice of bare and open or the neat and smooth lines flowing with the fairing. Decisions!

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Very nice Rich.

I too would only have the Leo or Yoshi as I would have to have the heatshield. I have always liked Akra exhausts but I just don't like seeing the pipework underneath.

Off to Texas soon for a week. I might just see if I can buy something on the cheap while I am there and bring it back with me out of the gaze of Mr. Customs Officer.

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Splatty, does the Yoshi can prevent the rearsets (Gilles VCR?) from going any further back or is that far enough anyway? And, how much louder than stock is your system?

hey c,
this should answer your questions regarding gilles and yoshi:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsXSnhg1fY8
I have muted the background music at around 3:45 that you can hear the exhaust.

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

cbrooj , if this helps any - i have the leo gp pro & vortex rearsets . you cant get very much adjustment except for the front set of holes , i had to cut a notch out of the carbon fiber exaust mount to mount in the center set of holes(3rd hole down) . i wanted to mount in the last set but the master cylinder(brake pedal) was hitting the can. for what its worth i luv the sound & quality of the can

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Thanks for the warning.

Vortex and Leo Vince were on my (long) wish list along with Yoshi/Arrow/Akrapovic and Gilles/Sato/PP tuning.

I find the standard footrests a little too far forward and maybe a touch high so maybe a bit more investigation with cans is needed.
