Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Went to Matlock Bath the other day and had a crowd round mine at one point. They were probably trying to work out how the rear pegs come off

I'll stay in touch via PM with the people I want to on that forum. Shame as it seemed a nice place, but like you say, once you sell the Ape they talk to you like $hit.

Funnily enough I know one of the members in Oz and he is just trying to get a white blade. They are not in Oz by standard but his dealer may get some, and then he will probably buy. I'll drop him a line and suggest he doesn't mention it..........ever

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Saw and heard the Taylormade over the weekend while at the MotoGP races. My buddy has the system on his '08. Taylormade is not crap, everything I've seen from them is top quality and the system they designed for the '08 blade is no exception. The fit and finish on the carbon is better than stock. The sound is low and rumbles at idle. After seeing what all the other manufacture offer for the '08 blade, Taylormade has really hit this one out of the park. They also make a really nice fender eliminator which they had on display at the vendor area.

Is that Jet City Racers bike?(***********) He posted his dyno numbers on the other site. No real gain on top end unless used with an ignition module (US bikes) but did show a gain on bottom end.

Looks really great!!
How would you describe the sound compared to other systems, like akra, leovince or Yoshi?

Nice looking bike!

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

Putting on dino next week hopefully so will post results, this is a link to taylormade sound clip, probably a better job than i can do. http://www.racetaylormade.com/tmpage...sol_robert.mp3 it doesn't really do it justice it sounds more like a yoshi straight through system in reality

I have seen one dyno sheet with very little top end gain but a substantial gain in lower rpm.

Atm I cant see a reason to change the exhaust, especially as Honda claim that the mapping is really difficult, dont want to loose out for just more noise

Posting for the first time ...Hi to everyone here. I ordered Jardine carbon slip on for my 08 1000 rr (black on black) today for $425.00 + $20.00 shipping. I didn't want a too loud of a pipe like the two brothers. besides I like the shape of Jardine better and i think the carbon fiber look will go better with the black bike. Also it comes with the heat shield to cover the naked pipe underneath. So far the mods I've done to it are Renthal grey grips, vortex frame sliders and Bike litez undertail. Here's a pic without the Jardine slipon

Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust

I have put this on another thread and think it should have gone on this one instead as follows:-
Just fitted an Akrapovic evo system with PC111 and pipercross filter. It was set up with a custom map at Crescent Suzuki and did 170.45 BHP and 80.94 ft-Lbs at the wheel. There is a huge difference to the low and mid range power and torque an feels just perfect now.Have a look at the "Anyone dynoed their 08 blade " thread to look at dyno sheet.
