| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust Taylormade is one of the worst exhaust systems you can get for performance. Look at the set up. Its 2 boxes how can boxes be good for air flow especially after the bends it goes through to get there. Look up the dyno's they make crap for power. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust Has anyone tried a KR Tuned exhaust? I like the look, but don't know how they sound or perform. I do know they are expensive. Just curious if anyone has an experience with these on any bike. Honda, 2008 CBR1000RR, Street Systems, Hotbodies Racing |

Why do you say it doesn't work as well? I'm not defending the KR pipe because I've never used one. I'm just looking for information and thought maybe some people here have tried them. I've read pros & cons from people about other brands so I thought I'd ask. |

| Re: Fireblade 08 - Aftermarket Exhaust It is true that aftermarket exhaust systems do reduce horsepower for the lack of back pressure isn't set up in the factory fuel map, nothing a Power Commander and some time on a dyno with a trained technician won't cure. |

Russ | trust me when i put a slip on my bike
i didnt notice much power gains
but when i did the flapper valve mod
the bike came alive.
if your engine can breathe u will have way more power.
its like some one only giving u a small hole to breathe though while your trying to run then you can breathe through your mouth.
the flapper mod may actually give you more horsepower then what the dyno says
you have to add in ram air effect into the equation.
only way to mimic this on a dyno is to get a huge fan and manage to have all that air blow into your bikes air intake |

It's supposed to give you 3-4 more hp and a better torque curve. The bike definitly pulls harder off the bottom than with the stock exhaust. You also lose about 13lbs, the stock can is huge and heavy. | If you weigh the stock can it only weighs 13.1 lbs so you are not going to lose 13lbs if you install another exhaust system. |
