Also got a copy of your dyno sheet scanned in it would be nice to see what the curve looks like more than the peak power, good luck with the next run with the pc3 on it. If you can get a video of the sound the akky makes it would be appreciated before I shell out on one.
Russ | Hi fella. Got the dyno printout. Just for comparisons, my 06 Blade made 150 peak on the same dyno
I'm back home Tuesday and will post the piccies of the bike as pimped as she's likely to be for the next......... month or so

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread I pick my bike up this tuesday and god i cant wait, the only thing about australia is that we only get the two colours, red and yellow, so im going the red.
Goodbye CBR600RR 04, hellow CBR1000RR 08. the only thing now is which exhaust to get...
Im loving the sound of the two brothers right now, have a look if you are interested YouTube - 2008 Honda CBR1000RR with Two Brothers Exhaust
The leo Vince YouTube - 2008 CBR1000RR Dyno Leo Vince Corsa System
Ive got a Arata on my 600 at the moment so im still thinking it for the 1000
D&D are just one crazy looking pipe, sound ok though YouTube - Honda CBR1000
Hp gain is'nt much of a factor for me (but would be nice). Im going for sound more so than anything.
One thing though, has anyone got a sound clip on a M4 exhaust, they look great i think, i just want to hear one...

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread Nice dyno run geeber.. I take it the 150rwhp on your 06 was stock? Thats the numbers I wanna see on my 08, my 07 makes 166rwhp after all the mods.. I don't see any reason why my 08 won't hit around 170rwhp.. My 08 didn't break the 156rwhp mark with a slip-on and pc3.. Damn neutered US version.. My 07 has almost 13 more rwhp than my 08.. And before anyone says anything Im aware of different dyno's, different conditions crap... Just not sure why the 06/07 models US vs EU were the same as far as power but the 08's are neutered or so to speak.. I read Honda's press release BS why.. Great numbers geeber and awsome mods..

Think it was about $240.00AU landed here. Bit fiddly to fit, but comes with really good instructions.
If you don't like Ebay, I think you can purchase direct from their (EVOTECH) website.

My 06 bike had a micron delta end can which added 1-2hp. All figures on the same dyno for consistency.
As for the US versions being neutered, Moby, the editor of Fast Bikes magazine in the UK, only got 158hp on his 08 Blade with a full Leo Vince system. My mates 08 gets 155hp (standard) on the same dyno my bike has been run on. This equates to a difference of less than 5% as standard between our bikes and the figures are very comparable to yours to be fair to Honda.
More importantly (for me anyway) was shedding some pounds (yeah me and the bike ) I've got access to a weigh table calibrated at 10kg intervals upto 1000kg so, i'll fill her up and post an accurate all up wet weight and we'll see what she tips the scales at.
Will post the updated piccies Tuesday |

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread Just had the 6000km service done and I'm still happy.
First two Dunlop Qualifier rears lasted 2500km each. Like the grip but simply can not keep up with those kind of mileage therefore the change now to Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's.
The "project" is also coming along nicely and the latest addition is the carbon hugger and front fender. Not particularly fond of the hugger's shape.......think it's too bulky but the carbon is nice

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread So this is as far as I've come with her.... up to now
The full list of mods goes; Acumen Digi gear indicator, Renthall grips, HRC quick action throttle (1/6 turn), Pazzo stubby levers, Goodridge stainless hoses, wavey rear disc, BST carbon wheels, Pirelli Corsa III's, Gilles VCR rearsets, frame plugs, powder coated pillion footpegs, Akrapovic full system with carbon end can, PCIII with custom map, Honda seat hump, Honda carbon fender, Honda carbon hugger, Honda fairing scuff guards, R&G tail tidy, mini LED rear indicators, 5X7 number plate, Datatool alarm and smartwater.
Akrapovic are doing some tasty carbon bits which I need to get ordered
I must say there are some very very nice examples of the 08 blade out there already, great considering how new the bike still is. We just need some decent weather now eh |

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread I wonder if anyone makes a long non-carbon hugger like that?
I ride in the rain a lot and it looks like it would keep the spray off the undertail better than the short stock one. |

Sounds like total BS to me. Mighty Honda can get a carbon part out, put not a sprayed plastic one ? Nothing to do with the carbon one being £100 more ! |

| Re: 2008 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Photos Thread At work at the mo so can't give you a price breakdown, will have a look once I'm home later this afternoon.
What I can tell you is that I've just put her on a calibrated weigh platform here, graduated in half kilo increments upto 1000kg. With all fluids and the petrol right up into the neck of the filler she's showing 190.5Kg. Again once I'm home I'll try to find the quantities of all the fluids to get a dry weight which I'm guessing won't be far off the 165Kg mark. |
