do i need this??

I took of the stock exhaust and theres no place for the butterfly valve on the new pipe... Should i mod the exhaust?? How does the valve benefit the bike??

And i took of the mudflap, any pointers on how to run the wiring for the aftermarket blinkers??

Re: do i need this??

You do not need the butterfly valve, also known as the exhaust gas control valve. Honda put it there to meet a noise emission limit. The valve opens at 5600 rpm. The noise test is coincidentally conducted at 5600 rpm. The valve does nothing but hurt performance.

Re: do i need this??

This valve also aids in maintaining low end torque. with the valve closed, it allows back pressure to build, which in turn allows the engine to MAINTAIN torque levels at low RPM. At 5600 RPM the engine is making plenty of torque, and the valve opens to allow gasses to flow easier, which allows the engine to MAKE more high end torque, which, through a mathematical equation, is translated into horse power.

To answer the question, the valve is not needed. You may notice a slight hesitation in your low end acceleration. This is nothing a good power commander tuner can't take care of though.
