| Re: Service manual I just googled it: valve clearance help....
Intake valve clearances are the same for all models. Exhaust valves are the same for 93-97.
Intake: 0.13--0.19 mm
Exhaust:
93-97 0.19--0.25 mm
98-99 0.22--0.28 mm |

| Re: Service manual All the information you seek is here: Honda Rider's Club of America
It is a paid membership to Honda; yearly dues. The shop manual is one of the benefits. |

| Re: Service manual You can always buy one. Helm makes the manual for Honda. if you order it from the dealer you will get the Helm version. Check around and you might find a lower price. You could try some second hand book stores too.
There is one on eBay for $28.00 and they say the condition is new. |

| Re: Service manual They are well worth the money. If people don't buy them then why will Helm create them in the future? There is a cost even on the Freebie's, it is just down the road. |

| Re: Service manual yes indeed they are worth the money. Its nice to be able to look it up in the manual as to trial and error trying to figure out something. Im liking this whole sport bike thing alot i dont know why i didnt get into it earlier. Im getting pretty used to this bike now and it is a lot of fun. I went and looked at new ones and they seem small or like i wouldnt fit on them as i am 6 foot 2. This 900rr fits me just right!! |

| Re: Service manual That is the current progression, smaller and lighter. I'm almost 6' and the new RR fits me. I have thought about it's little brother for track use. |

| Re: Service manual Personally I wouldn't pay for an online manual. They're certainly very useful for reference but not useful enough to be worth paying for.
You can't beat the ease of use of a hardcopy and for the cost and time to print and bind a pdf manual I'd rather buy a manual.
To be honest I think a full factory workshop manual should be included when you buy a bike (or car for that matter). Even if you never use it yourself at least you would know that when your mechanic is working on your bike he has all the information he needs.

| That's a good point, and when something breaks that wasn't up to the job in the first place we have to pay to have the defective part diagnosed and replaced!
$28 for a bike manual is cheap - the one for my car one is >$100 and thats not the manufacturers one either!! |
