[cbr900rr] Will 97 carbs fit a 98-99 motor?

I am looking into a motor now and it comes with no carbs, but I still have my 97 carbs, just curious to know before I buy. Thanks all.

I think the 98/99 has a slightly bigger bore to the carbs iirc but my mind wandered years ago and has never come back!

so, to add to the above, if i'm right then the 97 carbs would fit the inlet tube with room to spare resulting in air leaks thus weak mixture, horrendous running, etc.....

Re: [cbr900rr] Will 97 carbs fit a 98-99 motor?

Not necessarily. The 954 has 2mm bigger bores than the 929 but have the same inlet manifolds.
Bikebandit list different part numbers for the '97, '98 and '99 carbs but the inlet manifolds have the same number from the first right through to '99 so they _should_ fit straight in. There must be some differences between the carbs but I doubt it'll be extreme.

The carbs fit and they will bolt in.
