Hi All,
Due to us brits not having the so called "limited" version we like the rest of the people have to make do with silver rearsets and pillion hangers. I decided to get mine done as a gauge for the powder coating quality and colour match (no black is not just black) in preparation of getting the rearsets done.
£30 for the pair from a place near me called Aerocoat ( AEROCOAT CUSTOM POWDER COATING LTD) http://cbr.deathace.net/gfx/blade_pillion01.jpg (quality of finish) http://cbr.deathace.net/gfx/blade_pillion02.jpg (mock on the bike) http://cbr.deathace.net/gfx/blade_pillion03.jpg (further view on bike)
They came out quite well and I will definitely be getting the rear sets done to match, the only things left to do are the engine casings, which I think are going to painted not coated and the exhaust tip, which I will fabricate a carbon fibre replacement for rather than coating again as ceramic coating is the only thing that will take the heat and its likely to get chipped easily.
More updates as I do them.

Well I took the rear sets off and what a bastard of a job.
Still all parts ready for powder coating tomorrow. http://cbr.deathace.net/gfx/blade_rearsets.jpg
Will post in a week or so when I get back from work what they look like.

Nice look allright. May do the same myself.
Would they not get scruffed up though?
We do put our boots on them after all.
Let me know how it goes and if they scuff over time. Could be interesting.

Ok here is the rear sets back from the powder coaters, I am currently away working in wales at present so when I get home I will assemble them and take some pics of the finished look. They do look a lot better than the silver so its worth the wait.

I paid a total of £60/$120 equivalent roughly for both the front and rear in the same matt black, obviously the rears were done first to gauge the finish when i got them back and liked it i did the fronts.

Would that powder coating work on hot areas like engine cases.I've got a black and white Blade and just hate the gold finish on mine.

Stu the engine casings are my next task, however theres only realy 2 options available for that and the exhaust tip (both get hot) ceramic coating, which can be exposed to chipping and spoiling the finish very easy. The 2nd and probably the most easiest is to get them resprayed with high temp paint which wont peel or cause a problem with higher temperatures that the blade runs at.

Rich, yeah that tailormade slip on does look tasty as hell, Honda CBR 1000RR Motorcycle Forums: *********** has more info on it. I am seriously thinking at the moment of ditching the R&G tail and going for a hotbodies one I quite like them.
Ldavis, hehe yeah my mrs took the pics as i am away at the moment and im impatient to wait til i get home to see what they looked like.

I am honestly not after any more performance etc I already have bags more than I had with my 6R but I wouldn't want the slip-on to drop power lower than the OEM as that would just suck, So I will wait with baited breath as to the outcome of the dyno results, bear in mind those in the UK that our bikes are not restricted like some others so the gains to be seen on US bikes may work against us over here, but if they didn't wow what a pipe
