2007 Blade Front brake judder

When braking hard , I sometimes get a judder from my front end. This has only happened a few times on the road but I recently did a track day and it happened all the time. It doesn't happen with normal braking, only when braking REALLY hard.

Has anyone else experienced this or do you perhaps know what could cause this?

My bike is 9 months old and has 7,600kms on the clocks. I've pulled the forks through the yokes to make the bike turn a bit quicker but I did this with my 2 Suzukis before the Blade and never experienced this problem.

Re: 2007 Blade Front brake judder

I already have braided lines on my bike. The problem I'm experiencing is not due to the brakes fading(which the braided hoses will cure). It feels more like the front is bouncing under hard braking. At first I thought the forks were maybe bottoming out but I've tied a cable tie around the stanchion and I've still got about 15mm of travel on the forks when I'm experiencing the problem.

My suspension has been adjusted by a friend who is a Ducati mechanic. I don't know what he did but I trust him to work on my bike.

Curious, you said you experiencing the same problem. Do you know of anyone else who has this problem? Maybe the 06/07 Blades have an inherent fault in the braking system?

Re: 2007 Blade Front brake judder

did he set it up to suit your weight, riding style etc?
I havent done many track days, but i notice as you said under hard braking the front some times judders a bit,i played a bit with the rebound/compression on the front end and its been ok so far, just the brake fade due to standard lines.
find out what your friend did maybe he can help you set it up better.
let me know how you go.

My dealer said it could be caused by Glazing on the pads. Checked for that ?
