| 08 blade - automatic reset mode Has anyone used the “automatic reset mode” on the multi function display for Trip A? It basically resets Trip A and the average fuel consumption back to zero when you fill up. This function is deactivated as standard – you have to go in and activate it in the multi function display.
I’ve activated it on mine but Trip A refuses to zero itself when I fill up. If I run it until the fuel light comes on and then fill up it works and Trip A resets to zero but I’m sure it should work every time I fill up. Am I being dumb and reading the handbook wrong? (I think this only applies to European bikes?) Anyone had the same problem? |

| Re: 08 blade - automatic reset mode It only works if the fuel light is on.
Then it takes a minute or so to reset.
If your fuel light isnt on you will have to reset manually !

| Re: 08 blade - automatic reset mode The wording in the manual is really confusing I know. I just kept playing with buttons tell I figured it out. Resetting trip A resets the fuel amount reguardless if the fuel light is on or not. If the fuel light is on it will automatically reset after about a minute. If it doesn't reset automatically it isn't activated. To activate it I think you hold the B button. Might be the A, cant remember. |

| Re: 08 blade - automatic reset mode It just takes time for the ECU to register that the fuel gauge is not in error and then resets the light and the gauge, as for the automatic reset I prefer to reset it manually then I know for sure it is back to 0, I use trip B for total riding miles for that day and obviously the odo for total milage done so far.
It works well and the fuel usage is not too far out for what the dash says so all in all works quite well.
depending on how hard its being ridden I get about 125 miles out of a tank.
