| Wondering what the factory sprockets are on a 2000 929? Hi,
I just picked up a speedo healer and need to confirm what the factory sprockets were on the bike?
Thanks,
Jason |

16/42 everywhere else.

Does the speedo healer come with the gear indicator? I'm sick of trying to grab 7th gear. |

I still find myself looking for the indicator switch when I'm racing as well :-)

This is what I'm talking about. For some reason I thought it was part of the Speedo Healer. |

| Re: Wondering what the factory sprockets are on a 2000 929? $160 is a lot of money for the amount of time I ride in top gear.
I'm never in top gear on the road.

I would be happy just with a small indicator bulb or something. I wonder if the computer could send an output when it is in high gear. If so maybe a couple of relays and a small led may do what I want. |

I'm not an electrical guru but I would think it wouldn't be difficult.

All I need is a way to connect to an output or maybe a way to tap in a mechanical switch. A proximity switch could work but I wouldn't know where to put it. I have some blow up diagrams in a service manual I will look at later. |

| Re: Wondering what the factory sprockets are on a 2000 929? It could probably be fairly simple to mount a very simple contact switch on the end of the shift drum as well.
In fact, you could just as easily mount six switches on there and have every gear light up individually or in a strip of six lights.

| Re: Wondering what the factory sprockets are on a 2000 929? Third is normal for me to about 70-80kph.
Then fourth to about 100kph.
Country roads are 110kph but I'd normally still be in fourth or maybe fifth if I'm not pushing the turns too hard.
Freeways would be top gear but only when there's no chance of needing instant engine response.
Same thing in the car as well. Fifth is very rarely used in town and even on the freeways I prefer to hold fourth.

Anyone from Canada here? I am wondering if the bike had a 43 or 42?
Thanks |
