cbr 900 acting up

i have a 96 cbr 900rr.it ran fine,but went out to start it and the battery went dead befor it start so i jumped it from my truck and now its hard to get it to start and when it does it breaks up and back fires and stallsout.but befor i jumped it from the truck i tried it from a quad and mixed up the pos neg termenals but for only2 secons didnt even hook up just bearly touched.could that have messed up the cdi,or the carbs need to be cleaned.thanks for any info .

no help with the subject...
but whats up with all the people jumping their bikes lately when you can just push start them...

mixing positive and neg terminals for even a second can destroy your electrics.

I've never jump started a bike, because it's too easy to push start for me to be bothered to get the starter cables out

Well I just changed my battery and solved a no-start issue. I tried to push start, but the only thing that was running by the time I gave up was the sweat running down my face, and back, and everywhere else!

Oh, and it started immediately the battery was changed.

im starting to think if it was the cdi it wouldnt start at all.it starts but breaks up,so i think im gonna give cleaning the carbs and change the plugs and see what happens.thanks
