So this has been a topic in the group I ride with so I'll pursue it. Please take the time to check out the production number of your bike and please post.
Thanks, Bob
Why do you want the whole vin?? U only need like the first 5-6 characters to know that it is a RE (Erion Racing Edition). Not trying to be a jackass, this is casually said.... If you search a little, that subject has been discussed on here not too long ago.

He doesn't want the start to determine if it's an Erion.
He wants the last four digits to determine how many were produced.
I do think the SC44X could be useful though to differentiate Cali, 49-State and Eruopean Erions as you could conceivably have three genuine Erions with the same last four digits.
lmao... what a thread. maybe i misunderstood or then again he was unclear in his post. Even so, my statement b4 still stands. Not being a jackass, but the topic over vins has been discussed previously. Are u wanting the 1's that haven't been posted yet?
I tend to agree that it's a pointless exercise as Erions aren't rare, although definately rarer than those horrible Repsol things cluttering the roads. There are so many old threads without ever getting an answer so perhaps this will lay it to rest finally - if we ever get an answer
I think basically, he was told by Honda that there were only 2000 made so I guess if he finds just one number over 2000 then at least we know they're telling lies again.
I'm more curious how many 929's were produced in total.
A total of 2000 across the nation??? Or 2000 made in the world??? Either way, that number seems rather shy for production. Then again it may not if he is only trying to figure out the RE and not the total number of 929's. I too would like to know the TOTAL number of 929's produced. There isn't anything diff between the two models other than frame and swing arm color and paint job.
My 929 was so hard to come by, I snagged an Erion and painted it because I didn't like the paint scheme but I did like the BLACK frame and swing arm. Got it for a pretty good price too.

You guys crack me up. Bladeracer has it dialed, just looking for the last 5 digits. But he does have a good point as to 49 stae, Ca., Euro. I've searched for "that thread" and have not been able to come up with it. Any asst. would be helpful.

While growing up in Oakland, Ca. I remember Auto registrations wrapped around the steering coloume in plan view and I believe it was the law. Since then they moved into the glovebox due to people walking around in parking lots, taking address info, and then breaking into the residence presumming it was vacant as the owner was out shopping. This was early 60's and I was filling my mini-bike at 17.99 cents a gallon. You probably don't want to post your entire VIN# (not do to that reason) and since have edited to read "prod#"
thanks, bob
Your registration has your address on it?
Our registration has nothing but a serial number and month and year of expiry.
I can't see any reason to keep a VIN secret any more than keeping your licence plate secret.
Burner303 and Maci4life, what type of quality is the paint on your frame. Mine #'s 326 as well as 372 on a 10 scale probably came in at a 4+. Very light (which I believe Honda was after) and did not cover well and also had drips and runs. Not typical of Honda's Quality Control. And how far apart do you two reside?
Thanks, Bob
I am pretty sure the frame is powder coated.
My frame is very dark, no light spots on it, and no runs or pooling that I have noticed anywhere. Perhaps it was a bad batch, or issue with the machine.
Anyone with a number higher than 372 wanna comment and tell us what your frame looks like?
Now that there's one above the 2000 number we all thought was the production limit I'm curious about something... what happens when you buy just the frame to repair a wrecked one? Does honda just start at say 2001, 2002, 2003 etc. and keep going up or do they do something different to designate a replacement vs an original? On a side note I have #0395
Hi guys. I have an erion as well. Live all the way in South Africa though my last 5 digits are 00068. My Sc number only has 44u though.
I am the second owner of this bike and I've had it since 2003. Any ideas why the SC number is different?
My vin is SC440, any chance this bike was an Erion? I want to put it back to stock. Thanks guys.
Andy
