What kind of manual did you get? Just the standard one that comes with the bike? Or is there a bigger one with lots of pictures & stuff? | Yea, I was looking forward to riding it before it got too cold so I'm pretty motvated. And I never did get a manual. Everything has been pretty easy so far. |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! So the fairing stay thing just showed up in the mail. The people just sent me the wrong one, go figure so now Im going to have to wait to get the right one. I just emailed them a nice letter, hopefully they are cooperative and get me the right one quickly. I don't mind companies or people making mistakes, its how they fix them that matters to me.

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! The company took awhle to reply about the fairing bracket (couple days nothing to crazy) so I started a claim with paypal. Just a formal dispute claim. They emailed me the same day. They promised to sned me the right one when they got the wrong one back. So I should be good. The fairings are shipped and on the way. I've got a little less than 2 weeks before I get them. I hate waiting |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! Ug. The only thing Im waiting on is the plastics. Its been 3 weeks, I should've been getting them any day now but the package was denied today because it couldnt be shipped to my address or something stupid like that. I hate waiting. I've been riding my old XJ750 seca lately, not nearly as fun to ride as the cbr. oh well. Guess i've never been any good at the waiting game. |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! So if anybody is still reading, it turns out its USPS's fault. They are being jerks about it too which is lame. Fairingsonline is being really cool about it. They are rushing to build me another one to reship even though they havent gotten this one back yet. So if they follow through with what they say, they rock and USPS sucks. More waiting...... |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! OK I got the fairings!!!! They look pretty darn good. They are definitely not perfect by any means, but I feel like I got my moneys worth for sure. I found 2 small runs and there are a few places where the packing plastic stuff rubbed some of the paint thin. I blame USPS for this. They were obviously not careful with the box.
But overall I am very pleased. The companys customer service was awesome when USPS accidently shipped the package back to them. I have nothing but good things to say about them in that regard.
I don't have it completely installed yet, I work for a tire company and with recent threats of snow we have been insanely busy so I've had no time.
I have the tank cowl, the tail piece and the piece that surrounds the bottom/exhaust on. They all fit perfect. I had to knock some paint out of a couple of the holes but otherwise no problem installing. By the way I hate bodywork so don't think Im a pro who knows what hes doing. I've never done this before but Im finding it pretty easy so far, just time consuming to make sure its perfect.
I took some pics but the light is cruddy so you can't really see anything. Next chance I get ill take some better ones and when I have it done Ill take some good pics so you can all see.
I know tons of people are thinking about doing this, I see a new thread pop up about it every few days so if your reading this and thinking about doing it I would say yea, go for it. If it helps I bought mine from Fairingsonline out of china. The whole kit was 465 shipped. Took almost 2 weeks to get it after USPS messed up the first one. |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! i got it done last night. Its dark and cold when I get off work though and usually raining this time of year so I don't know how much riding I'll get to do. I figure Ill put a few miles on her on my days off at least. It looks a lot better in my garage at least. |

Ignore all the crap in the background, need to build some storage space in the rafters of the garage for storage. |

| Re: Help the new guy fix his bike! Thanks I most certainly will enjoy it. I rode it today for the first time (other than up and down the street once with no fairings for test purposes) since I wrecked it. I love it, Im so stoked to have it back. Thanks for all the encouragement. |
