Anyone found a reference for what temperature the radiator fan should turn on?

Like all water-cooled engines the fan should come on just after boiling point - around 102C.

Yes, I know :-)
Boiling point as a constant though is 100C at sea level.
Under cooling system pressure it's slightly higher, hence the "just after boiling point" statement.

Re: 929 Radiator Fan

Thanks guys. I finally found the reference in the service manual.

Fan motor switch

Start to close (ON) 98-102 C (208-216 F)
Stop to open 93-97 C (199-207 F)

Strange because mine use to to turn at about 195-198 F.
