'98 - '01 VFR800 Euro Left Switch Group

Has anyone attempted to replace the left handlebar switchgroup with the Euro version? I've heard of this being done on the RC51 with some minor re-wiring in the switch itself but don't know any specifics.

After riding in Europe a bit I became acustomed to that conveniet little highbeam flasher and would really like it on my US bikes.

Anyone with instructions and or a connection to get the part?

Could you not just wire in a momentary switch onto the housing itself? That would probably be about $5 and 1 hours time.

Yeah, but the factory part is already so clean and ergonomic. That and my current high/lowswitch is starting to wear out so this would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone.
