I like the interceptor alot actually. I think my problem is my whole area is sportbike oriented so I have been brainwashed that if its not an I4 its just not good enough

I like all the colors actually but of course red is my favorite

I am telling you I always liked the interceptor b/c it always seemed like a good mix of what I was looking for but like I said I have had a one track mind about bikes. Its starting to change though but only time will tell where I will go once I get $$

True to my color preference

No, you are right. The standard Honda tank wings are printed on a background color to match the paint. I haven't taken the plunge to a print/cut system yet.
My machine can cut foil materials, but it would be die-cut to the shape of the wing, and wouldn't work for you.

Re: Note about Asphalt Interceptor Decals

Conq,

I can cut the decals (die-cut vinyl) in any color combo you like.

We would have to cut a shadow of the wing to completely cover the gloss then lay the actual wing/HONDA on top of it.

IF you use hi-perf vinyl (2-2.5 mil) layering them works great.

I even have some pimpy carbon fiber vinyl that might look intersting on the asphalt paint.

or chrome if you are so inclined.

Re: Note about Asphalt Interceptor Decals

Yeah, layering is a piece of cake, but it honestly really wouldn't look right on that bike.

Yeah, I know. As can BDA. But like I mentioned, I want the foil, "real" decals for the tank so they look right and last longer than layered vinyl, since they won't be clearcoated.

They were ordered from Ron Ayers before I even posted this thread, so they should be here any time now.

You should take the plunge. These cost me about $13 per side, and I got two sets in case I screwed up.

Re earlier posts, this helps understanding of your choices, CONQ. Commiserations and congratulations . Now we know why insurance is pricey

Your gear would match the red VFR nicely...

Re: Note about Asphalt Interceptor Decals

Not the greatest pic, but they're done. I'd say they are 98-99% perfect. They'll be covered by the Bagster anyway, so I'm fine with that. I'll keep the other set in case I want to re-try it later.
