| First Oil Change I don't know how much the dealer charges to change the oil on a VFR, but I can tell you this: IT'S NOT ENOUGH. |

Removing fairings I'm used to. Having the oil filter over the header pipes I'm used to. Having to remove the evap. canister and still BARELY being able to get to the oil filter and get it out, I'm not.
It really wasn't that bad though. |

| Re: First Oil Change I did my first service oil & filter change a week ago Friday. My bike is pleasantly easy to work on, actually. All the fasteners are the same size allen head and the same length, so I had to pay no attention to what bolt when where.
The right lower had to come off, but now that I've got the proper Suzuki cap wrench, I believe there is enough clearance to do my next one with plastic on.
Sorry to hear it was something of a bear, Conq.

You can get to everything very easily from the opening in the bottom of the fairings. And, the oil filter is to the side, away from the headers. Takes no time at all. |

| Re: First Oil Change Wow, sounds nice.
I think OHOH's Fijjer is better yet. I believe his spin-on filter sits out on the side of the motor IIRC.

I think this one's sticking around for a bit... | Translated for you non-Chain aficionados: Honeymoon's over now, I'm already tired of riding it, and I'm now looking for a new one. |
