| Sound Like a Good Idea? < used bike on ebay> This is directed to folks who have bought bikes off of ebay:
After a local deal fell through, I couldn't find a used vfr in my area, so after scouring cycletrader I went to ebay.
I found this bike: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2488510971
The guy has no feedback, but everyone had no feedback at one point.
Does anyone think this is a bad idea or a bad bike?
Thanks for any replies.
BTW, 1st thread. |

| Re: Sound Like a Good Idea? < used bike on ebay> The price is in the right ballpark, he lists the VIN, and Park City is a pretty high dollar and high brow area. If you're that nervous about it and win the bidding, I can give him a call or cruise by his place if you get his info and would like.
I honestly wouldn't be nervous bidding on this one.
EDIT: I just noticed his phone number is listed there.

| Re: Sound Like a Good Idea? < used bike on ebay> i think it's legit. Correct price for the bike, shipping is at buyers expense, plus all the other things mentioned, I'd be willing to go through with it m'self.

| Re: Sound Like a Good Idea? < used bike on ebay> If I were in the market for a '95 Viffer I'd do it - though I don't know much of the year and moreso of that model, but the seller seems pretty legit.
The amount of info. given away in that ad more then makes up for the lack of feedback, IMO (assuming of course it all checks out).

| Re: Sound Like a Good Idea? < used bike on ebay> A friend of mine just bought a used (slightly) Triumph Spring RS for his wife off a guy in Orlando. While they lost a few nights sleep wondering if they had done the right thing, they were pleased with the results, and the E-Bay transaction. The seller was way above board and was very helpful, to the point of picking him up at the airport and offering him a bed for the night instead of having to leave to ride back to Canada right away. The seller also wad very open as it seems the Viffer seller is with home phone #'s etc.
Just my $0.02 worth. |
