Re: VFR FRAME SLIDERS??

There is a Yahoo grou for the VTEC VFRs, get him to jump on there. Most of them guys order a trick slider setup from the UK. I forget the brand but that is pretty much what all of them are buying.

Re: VFR FRAME SLIDERS??

After looking around for Frame Slider's for My freind's VFR , we decided to Make some For you DO IT YOURSELFER'S out there it's a bit of a job but sure worked out well The biggest Hurdle is the Water Bottle , I didn't relocate it just drilled a 2 inch hole through it with a hole saw then Machined a Piece of ** PVC ** pipe to fit it and sealed it in there !! The Slider goe's through it Made the Slider's Out of ** ALUMINUM ** and Polished them , Then cut Hole's in the Fairing's for the Slider's to go through.
!! proper Measureing is required here !! Bolted them into the Frame at the Engine Mount's . You Need some Longer Bolt's Here. Will post some Picture's soon !!!!

an old post but hopefully someone's still reading this.... Machinist, hmmm I'd be interested. I am considering purchasing an 06 vfr800 and one thing I'd like to do right away is adding frame sliders. I heard it's really hard to do on a vfr. How hard is it to drill the fairing? Any pics yet? Are there any options that don't requiring drilling?
