VFR 500?

Hiya,
As you might/might not have seen, i'm a newbie, but I do have a question...can a VFR400 be bored out to 500cc?
This question has porbably come up before, so sorry for repeating the thread.
I would like a VF500F2, but in Bonnie ol' England they are rare, unlike the VFR, hence my question.

Re: VFR 500?

The VFR400 is probably a better bike by any measure than the VF500, except maybe comfort. I'd love to find an affordable VFR400 over here.

Re: VFR 500?

Honda VFR/RVF400 495cc Big Bore Kit
61mm Bore, 13.5:1 Compression Ratio
6mm Overbore Size
Barrels require bore and sleeve

Not exactly a simple task, sleeving required. Oh, and I hope you have decent fuel for the 13.5:1 compression

Re: VFR 500?

They're cloer to you than they are to me, too I've ordered a set of pistons from them before, they're about the only source of big bore V4 kits. Now if I could just scrape together the money for the 800cc RC30 kit...

This is THE place for VFR400/RVF400 info:

Lovely bikes. Just got to love the noise the motors make, cam gear whine and all.
