| Re: Why do this to a VFR? correct me if I'm wrong but how is "completely custom" a bike that you take the frame and engine from another bike and just bolt a bunch of aftermarket parts on and then make a tank and seat/rear end and belly pan.
at best I'd call that a highly customized VFR.

What a piece of crap. I do like that all of the special parts he highlights are standard upgrades to the bike. Don't know what he modded the tail from, but that seems to be the only thing that is even remotely custom. You could easily duplicate that bike for under $5k ($4k for a good bike of that vintage ... with the Ohlins ... and under $1k for the lights and some custom fiberglass work ... if you actually pay someone to do it)
That someone would deface a vintage VFR like that, and then start the bidding at $9k is just amazing, and sickening. |

| Re: Why do this to a VFR? Nope. Front rotors have to be spinning with the brake applied to activate the rear. That's what I've heard. |

| Re: Why do this to a VFR? OK Mister Lastword. There is a small master cylinder on a cantilever pivot that only compresses when there is braking force on the front left rotor. Tell me how the front brake lever can activate the rear brake without the bike rolling? |

| Re: Why do this to a VFR? With LBS, if you lock the front brakes, and apply throttle, it will engage the rear brake, keeping the rear tire from spinning. |
