After market exhaust not loud?

I got a 2004 vfr and I want to put some new pipes on it. I want the bike to be louder, but I've been told that the vfr's don't really get that loud even with after market tailpipes. I need a little bit more input before I spend the money, If anybody can help.

I thinkthe Lasers are pretty cool looking on the vfr... I think they have a sound clip too...

Whoever told you that has never heard a Wolf system on a VFR. The right exhaust will definitely bring out the V-4 growl...

Or you could go with that TBR system with the fake can that you can stash your coke or pot into...
