taking passenger foot pegs off?

I wanna take my passenger footpegs off. On the Interceptors with ABS, the rear spring pre-load adjuster knob is attached to the footpeg support. So you take footpeg off you have dangley knob.......and nobody likes dangley knobs. Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Re: taking passenger foot pegs off?

Is this a stock shock? I haven't looked at anything newer than a '98, and those didn't have remote shock adjusters.

If you remove the brackets up to the subframe you should be able to use the holes that are left; either directly or by fashioning a little bracket to bolt on there. Aluminum plate is very easy to work with simple hand tools and files out nicely to look professional at the cut lines.

Good luck with it.

Re: taking passenger foot pegs off?

I got it guys thanks. I ended up taking the braket that was holding the knob to the footpeg support off of the cylinder to where all i had was the cylinder and the knob. I just fished that and the line up under my seat and you can't even tell its there. That gone along with the footpegs and the fender cleans it up real nice, especially since its got the single sided swingarm.
