Fork preload on vtec VFR

Anyone know how to adjust this? This is not like my 929.

If there isn't an adjustment screw on the top (I don't think it does), then you have to open up the forks and increase/decrease the length of the spacer. Generally not to difficult; can be done one leg at a time lifting on the bar that you are taking apart or putting back together to thread in the upper portion. Best to review the manual to make sure you get everything put back together right. Good luck.

Yeh I think the screw is the only adjuster on these forks. According to the honda specs preload is the only adjustment. I was thinking that screw was rebound like on a 929.

I shall crank on the screw and find out.

If it is one of the larger (13mm or so) screws sticking out of the top that you use a wrench on, then it is preload. If it is a small screw you use a little screw driver for, then it is a damping adjustment. Likely preload if you have anything; the earlier VFR's have no external adjustment.
