Hey there everyone,
I was just courious, Can a VFR 750 front rim fit onto a 954? I know the rim size is 17x3.5, same as a 954. The front rim can be attached to a CBR 900. Has anyone tried this swap on a 929/954? Is there a confrontation with the axle size? If so, can the center collar of a 929/954 (25 mm) be swapped out? Are there any problems bolting on the front brake rotors, or using the spacers? I am looking to swap out my front rim with a RC-51 SP1 front to match my rear rim, and I know it can be done but they are hard to come by.($$$) I noticed the VFR 750 front rim is similar in design to the SP1, a little cheaper, and easier to find. Are the looks where the similarity stops or am I going to have to fork out the $$$ for a SP1?

Might find something with a search, I know VFR wheels was discussed maybe last week as an option to go on something ... maybe a 929 with certain years. I think on the 954 you would be looking at the VFR 800 as a potential donor due to the fork spacing, but haven't looked at it myself.

You might be able to fit the wheel to the 9xx forks with some creative spacers and/or bearings, but the bolt pattern for the brake rotors are not even in the same league.

9xx and RC51 brake rotors have a much larger bolt circle than the VFR.

And the VFR brake rotors are 296mm, IIRC Vs 330 for the 9xx.

Axle on the 954 is bigger diameter than any VFR wheel; have to use the RC51 wheel to get the correct fit
