And if you can find one, they are usually pretty expensive ... but way cool |

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? Yup, they'd be perfect, if you could find them. They aren't imported here, unfortunately, because no one in this country wants to buy a "little" bike. It's that "bigger is better" mentality, and it's very unfortunate. If you can find one, it'll probably be expensive. Sometimes you can find an old Yamaha FZR 400, but it's likely been used as a race bike and would be nearly impossible to return it to street trim. |

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? I'm kind of past the point where I make motorcycle buying decisions based on hormonal desire. However, a sweet, accessible NC30 (or an RC30) still hold enough interest that I could see myself doing something stupid. |

I forget all the number designations, but all the little 400's (VFR400, RVF400, CBR400 ...) are fantastic little bikes, and I'm sure I'd be apt to do stupid things on them too |

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? I would love to have a 400. The maneuverability of the machines are unreal! Rode a FZR400 at a track day and it was a blast! I'm actually looking into getting a EX500 or a 250 just to play on, ones I've rode really helped me get my cornering down! |

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? I have wanted a FZR400 for a long time. One of the coolest setups was shoehorning a FZR600 engine into it and whomping on everyone at the track.
Kinda like the YZF750/ FZR 1000 conversion.
Those old hondas are pretty tits, but I dunno if I would give them to a newbie just because of the rarity and parts supply if it gets chucked.
A honda Hawk would be a good choice, can be setup to look like a RC30, and still have some parts availability.
Just my .02 cents. YMMV etc etc. |

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? I was biased the other way when choosing my bike .. I preferred the look of the CBR400.. its all down to personal preference at the end of the day really.. I saw baby blades and fell in love, I saw the one that I have now and that was it, she was mine and I had to have her..

| Re: VFR400 NC30 or the CBR400 NC29 as a first bike? I found the NC30 bars abit on the low side for comfort. I think an NC23 might work better in some cases. |
