| NC 30 runs like a sack of **** Hello A few months ago i got myyself a nice little NC 30 to use as a track bike.
But when reved to 7000rpm its fine, over that its real bad.
so far i've tried (from my friends doner bike)
Pulser units
Coils
ECU
complete wiring loom
I've also tried many different jets and even another set of carbs,
Compression is good, valves are fine, the list goes on,
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Many thanks

| Re: NC 30 runs like a sack of **** What rpm does the bike idle at and is the rev needle steady.......if its jumping all over the place the engine isn't balanced........also from previous experiences if there is something wrong with the alternator the bike loses power...............after 7000 rpm's is the bike immediately losing power or will it not just go past 7000 revs?? |

| Re: NC 30 runs like a sack of **** it ticks over quite nice, but as soon as it revs past 7000 revs
it stops pulling and starts mis-firing I'm still not sure if its an electrical
or a fuel problem.
Would the alternator show these symptoms if it was on the blink? |

Mmmm....sounds as if the needles and valves are not set up right.......I had a ZXR750 and a friend of mine (at the time) started messing around with the needle set up and moved the two inside needles higher than the two outside needles and the bike would back fire and there was no speed at all.......the problem you have with the NC30 sounds like this.....you need to get someone who knows EXACTLY what they're doing to balance the needles and air intake properly and then the NC30 should be fine then. |

| Re: NC 30 runs like a sack of **** Sounds like it's running rich. Does it blow a whole bunch of smoke at those revs?
Macattack is right, though it's not that difficult to balance them. Just fiddly. |
