I was just curious if parts from the bikes could be interchanged with bikes from different years?
I have the possibility of gettinga tank, as well as rear fairings from a 1984, and was wondering (hoping) if they would fit on my 1986 interceptor.
They're both vf500f's, so I believe they should be compatable (at least in the physical aspects).
Please let me know. Thanks.

They should be. I heard that they changed the spec in 85 so you may need to double check.

I am thinking it won't work because the 1986-1987 bikes are pretty different at least in the 700 and 750s.

Well, the frames for the 700's and 750's are different, but from what i've seen, the frames for 1984-1986 500's are pretty much the same. I'll ask the question to the vfr list, but thats for your comments.
