VTEC Lag. How to get rid of the lag???

does anyone know how to get rid of the lag and increase the power? I have an 04, it has a power commander, two bros. pipe, air filter, stepped headers and a port and polish job. The power still is lower than expected and the lag is worse. I have spent thousands on dyno tuning the power commander.

I need some advice on how to make the VFR faster...or has any one swapped engines with an rc51?

Best way to get rid of the lag is to buy an earlier model

You spent THOUSANDS on dynoing??? What did you expect? It's a VFR, you aren't going to get the power of a liter bike out of it.

Re: VTEC Lag. How to get rid of the lag???

If you have not done so already may I suggest you do the PAIR Valve mod. I have an 02 6th Gen and that mod alone made me rethink all the other mods to the point of not doing them at all....

You can do this mode ffrom anywhere between 68 cents all the way up to 500 bucks depending on how far you want to go... Persoanly I spend 68 cents and bough 3 different rubber stop plugs at the local hardware store located the air hose coming out to the air box and plugged up the port going into the pair valve. put the hose over it so it looks stock and through away the other plugs that did not fit...
