1995 VFR

I'm thinking about selling the VFR again.

It is a great sport-bike and a comfy long-distance tourer, but with the GS in the garage I just never seem to choose it for longer trips. Someone else would get a heck of a lot more use out of this machine than me.

I'm really planning on getting to some track school/days next year and am considering something more focused like a new 600rr for those days and the occasional early morning <100 mile Sunday ride.

The downside of using the VFR for the track is the fact that it is in excellent condition, and I'd hate to dump it. On the other hand, it's paid for.

Opinions?

Re: 1995 VFR

If you were going to start doing track days, get a 600rr. If you ever accidently dump it, it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper the fix than the VFR. Plus, parts are getting any easier to find for the 4th gen VFR. Even for the a quick day trip into some twisties, I'd want the 600.

My opinion is to sell the VFR and then buy a used 600 or make a nice down payment on a new 2007 CBR.

Re: 1995 VFR

Don't crash the VFR on the track or u will hate yourself. It's too nice a bike and will break badly in the slightest fall (ask me how I know) and no insurance would possibly cover the repairs on a 10 year old bike that is expensive to fix. You'd either have to do it yourself or sell the pieces.
The CBRR is much better..will be a super track bike and God forbid, less likely to be trashed by a fall if protected well with full sliders.
