So when do you use the VFR and when do you use the CBR?

Until I put a gel insert into the 954 seat, it was pretty clear that any ride over about an hour and a half was gonna be painful ! Since then, I've got the Heli's on it, and it's comfortable for hours on end - I didn't give the VFR much of a workout last year, though my son rides it when we're out together.

How do you guys manage to split your attention among the "children"?

929
Track Days
Sunday afternoon blasts.
Occasional commute.
Day rides.
Overnights.

VFR
Most weekend rides.
Cross country treks.
Exploring for new roads.
Anytime the route calls for lots of gravel....
Commuting
Inclement weather riding....

Not really rigid rules....just how I generally use them....

Wow.. how many CBR owners have a VFR as well?

I use my VFR for longer freeway trips and when riding with slower riders.

The CBR is not much fun to ride slowly.

Lately, I just ride the VFR out of the way for access to my blade. I guess the honeymoon isn't over yet.

Re: So when do you use the VFR and when do you use the CBR?

Holy Old Thread Batman!!! Funny as Im acctually loading up the VFR to go to Atlanta in the morning for a friends wedding. VFR has more storage and a Sargent saddle, where as the RC needs a chain (which should be here real soon) and the paperwork hasnt been transfered over. Now if only I can get back without the RR shitting itself. The VFR Im riding tomorrow is Dads... I sold mine to get the 929, but a buddy of mine bought it and I plan to buy it back since it has quite a lineage.

I use the vfr when the cbr doesn't run

I bought it as a passenger bike, only to realize later the passenger pegs were sawed off. I was busy looking at the pretty V cutout in the fairing when I bought it.

Re: So when do you use the VFR and when do you use the CBR?

I use my VFR800fi for touring, commuting, and will be riding it this year at PIR for two days after a ride up. I use the CBR1000RR primarily for track days, it has 2400 miles on it, about 2/3 track time. Both are great bikes.

Hey Ernie, that didn't take long. Good to have you here. 1000rr.net is okay but I would like to think the maturity level here is higher but these guys and gals will prove me wrong I'm sure.

Welcome aboard.

Can I get a referral star now?

I hope you won't mind a non-Honda answer here................

Triumph Spring ST:

With Wifey.

TLR:

Without Wifey.

There, simple and clearcut.

TLR -

So are you saying the Triumph lacks the requisites to be a good solo mount? Or are you just so in tune with the twin?

What if you had the opportunity to ride a 500 mile trip alone, which bike would you take?
